Upgrading the Agilent scanner to 2 micron
resolution
IMGM
was among the first to successfully upgrade the Agilent DNA Microarray
Platform to 2 micron scanning resolution.
This high-resolution scanning capability opens up the opportunity
to process the new one million feature high-density
microarrays.
Additional information on the marked increase in scanning performance
is
available [here] on Agilent's official
website.
By upgrading our system to 2 micron scanning resolution, you will be
able to take advantage of the future benefits associated with this new
class of microarray products:
Increase in feature density per slide (i.e. resolution for array-CGH) Increase
in sample throughput (i.e. 8-pack format for Gene
Expression (GEX)) Reduction
of cost per sample (i.e. more efficient processing)
For existing microarray products, the main benefit is a pronounced gain
in data quality due to an increase in the number of pixels per feature.
At IMGM, we currently employ the Agilent 2 micron scanner for
the following applications: miRNA
profiling [more] Whole
genome gene expression profiling [more] array-CGH
